My Short Opinions on Various Things
(note: despite the theme of this site, these opinions represent what I think of these in *insert current year here*)
Windows: Piece of complete trash that's only been alive as long as it has because of it's semi-decent compatibility with older computers and programs, and the fact you can run it on basically anything. That and Microsoft being a monopoly.
Mac OS: Software is too babyfied, hardware for a long time was really expensive compared to a normal x86 machine, things it used to be notable for aren't even that important anymore (except the speed which has increased after they switched to ARM)
Windows vs Mac OS: Both are good for specific use cases. Both were at their peak in the early and late 2000s (XP/9, 7/10.6). Both are rather mid overall. No one wins :3
Linux: dafuq essa leenux?!?! O_o (Seriously though, I should definitely use it proper one of these days.)
Internet Explorer: Used to be really intrusive and forced on you in older versions of Windows, then Microsoft stopped caring and it just became boring. I have a soft spot for the IE9 design, but I barely used it overall.
Netscape: Never really used, for obvious reasons (am zoomer), but when I did use it, it was fine.
Safari: Also a "fine" browser. Not to act above it all, but much like with OSes, I don't really get attached to browsers. If it works, it works. If it doesn't, fuck 'em.
Microsoft Frontpage: Very basic WYSIWYG HTML editor that has a bunch of proprietary Microsoft stuff shoved in. Despite that, it CAN make reasonably compatible HTML that will work on modern browsers, including the one on your phone :)
iPhone: Perfectly serviceable for basic tasks. Yes the battery and SIM card are no longer replaceable compared to older phones, but I don't like thick and small phones anyway. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Of course Apple is an asshole company so you can't do what you'd wish with your phone. They keep putting all these fancy features in every single year, and I barely use any of them. (except for the 2 week period of using the 3 cameras on purchase)
Bluetooth earbuds (Specifically Airpods): Honestly, I don't mind them. Yes it's expensive, yes it's gonna be thrown in the bin in a couple of years, but I am privileged enough to where those 2 things don't bother me.
Wired earbuds: Decent, it works without issues (no latency and such) and has better longevity (no batteries to worry about) but I'm just not fond of wires on the go.
Pepsi: One of my greatest addictions in life, and one of the reasons why I am so fat :P Still good though (At some point I am going to get The Beetus)
Nathan Lineback and his ToastyTech website: Very cool albeit cynical website, main inspiration for this one ^_^
VLC: Still my main media player, even with all of its faults. Too used to it now to switch.
George Carlin: Very great stand-up comedian. "Jammin' in New York (1992)" is very good. Got way too cynical & cranky than needed post the mid 90s, but that's just my opinion, and to be fair, his stand-up was still great up to his death. I'd just rather have it in small doses.
