Early YouTube Era (2009-2013)

On March 10th, 2009, my mom made a YouTube channel, seemingly to put videos into playlists so she could watch them later. On June 28th, 2011, I made my first video on this channel. It was a video of a creature I had made in Spore, and I used the built in video recorder to upload it to YouTube. There's really not much to say about it, other than the built in recorder having potato quality, and that also it took me an ENTIRE YEAR before I remembered to even publish it. (Publish date: September 16th, 2012)

I eventually started to upload many other types of videos to my YouTube channel, like Roblox videos (once again using the poopy built in recorder), and... logo videos. I was heavily into logos at the time. Another thing I was also into at the time was copying other peoples videos to make my videos, using the YouTube video editor. This was back when they had a "Remix this video" button underneath certain videos. Sometimes they would be "combined" with my own videos, along with nonsensical titles and a unhealthy dose of annotations.

Here's an example of a nonsensical title I made back in the day: Proof That han Did first! WORST 653 AWARD

Other times I would just copy them without even changing anything, or adding some form of filter or title effect. One example I can think of where OP noticed was when I reuploaded a guys (still existing) upload of the 1995 Star Wars "One Last Time" VHS promo. They were, to put it lightly, not happy. I ended up getting mad about this, and made some form of a call-out video. (really was a random lava full roblox game with some metal music playing along with an annotation calling them a noob) I'm a bit surprised my mom allowed me to use the internet as much as I did at this point in my life. (Though she did tell me not to post comments or reveal personal information)

Now we get to the webcam recorded videos. On March 28th, 2013 was when I uploaded a video of me "reviewing" a unabridged cassette version of "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire". You can barely understand me because the audio quality on my first laptop's webcam was horrible, it clipped way too much and was very loud. Of course, I didn't really care at the time, and if I recall correctly, I didn't even watch my finished videos, and just uploaded them as is (this would be a thing until around mid 2017).

The videos were me talking about random things, like a copy of Zoo Tycoon, why I was gonna see my family for Easter, the Titanic, talking about something I had or just got, like a 3DS for my birthday, and several other random things. Earlier I said that I took peoples videos using YouTube, but sometimes I would actually use Bandicam to record other peoples videos, because at this time I had no idea how anything really worked on YouTube, if it wasn't obvious enough already. I would also use Bandicam to record me doing things on my computer, like using Algodoo, a physics sandbox. One of these videos was related to this weird video known as "Obey the Walrus". Before I attempt to explain, just watch it for yourself for at least a few seconds.

To explain, this is mainly a video featuring a person known as the Goddess Bunny (Sandra Crisp) tap dancing. There's also Andross from the original Star Fox (why not?), who is singing a Spanish version of "Itsy Bitsy Spider", along with some interesting druggy video & earrape audio. When I found this a long time ago, I found it very weird, and it's still very weird now. The whole point of me bringing this up is because I found the original source for the video (on ebaum's world of all places), and then uploaded it to my channel, and that somehow became the highest viewed YouTube video I have ever uploaded. Here are some other popular videos from this channel.

On April 24th, 2013, I uploaded what would become my last video on this channel. It was my "version" of Numa Numa, a nearly decade old meme at the time. Roughly a month later, Google+ became a thing and logged me out of the channel. It would be a few years later that I would rediscover this channel, and then promptly privatized the videos, for they were all cringe. (Though no one could see them anyway because I needed to change an account setting in order for the channel to be public again)

My "movies" and second YouTube Channel (2014 - 2017)

Since 2010, I had been recording random stuff on a cheap Kodak EasyShare camera. The picture quality was reasonable, but the video and sound quality were garbage. In March of 2014, I started to make these quote unquote "movies". The movies only had me in them, not counting the times where someone else spoke off camera or walked in frame. 2 notable "movies" I made were about me trying to escape from a bunch of clones, or me dealing with 2 killer balloons (well only one of them was a killer and even then only killed people off screen). I saved these videos to my PC, and started using Windows Movie Maker, a basic and primitive video editor. Using a poopy phone and a 3DS, I also made a bunch of LEGO videos, which featured random & weird scenarios involving LEGO minifigures. At the time, I had a total of 6 cameras that I could use.

Also in March, I had happened to watch the Angry Video Game Nerd's video of Big Rigs, and therefore was interested enough to play it and make my own "review". In the video, I'm really whiny and clearly want the game to end (and copying AVGN, minus the swearing). This is because I had a limited amount of recording time on the SD Card from dropping my camera a few times. This is before I knew formatting was a thing... But anyways, the point is that on the 13th of August, I once again had an interest in becoming a angry video game reviewer. I had rerecorded my Big Rigs review, probably to make it more compact and fit with my yet to exist new channel. 2 days later, "Nick Angryreviewerkid" and it's first video became a thing.

My Big Rigs video did okay for a new channel, somehow, getting 78 views (some of these were probably me watching my own video). A month later, I would upload another video, this time for these iPhone styled app magnets. There was no point for this video to even exist, but I made it anyway. After this video, it took me until next year to upload anything. Despite that, I was still working on videos, either involving myself or LEGOs. When I finally did upload a proper video in November of 2015, it was me talking about a guitar that my uncle gave to me. It's clearly obvious I don't know how to play guitar, nor understand what any of it means. It would also be the longest video I would make until 2019, running almost 13 minutes. I'd like to mention that this video (along with a few other videos) I uploaded them directly to YouTube, without even bothering to watch them.

In 2016 I would upload only 1 proper video, which was a "review" of Sanic R, a random Unity browser "game" that prominently featured "The King of Speed", a song in Daytona (DAY-E-TON-AAAAAAAAAA!) USA. The less said about it, the better. (the song do be good tho)

For the remainder of 2016, 2017 and a majority of 2018, I didn't really upload any videos of major importance. They varied in content from a half-assed review about some toy cars and a slinky to footage of myself from 3 years past to a fake news segment about upcoming videos to a video announcement about a brand new series that never saw the light of day. That all changed on August 23rd, 2018, where I uploaded my first "modern" video.

This was a video consisting of mostly random short videos I had made that year, most of the videos focusing on putting two of me in a single frame using a trial of the reasonably good (and unfortunately now dead) ShaderTFX plugin for Windows Movie Maker 6.0. Of course, that's not all that was in it, because if that was it, then it would be called "me and my clones" or some random crap like that. It had Super Mario Bros 2 music in it originally, but I removed it just in case Nintendo somehow noticed and took it down, because Nintendo gonna do what Nintendo gonna do did!

Modern (yet edgy) Era (2018-present day)

(Note: from this point, this will no longer be in depth as it was previously)

From August of 2018 to December of 2018, I uploaded at least a single video for that month, which is rather impressive for reasons I will bring up soon. Then it stopped, and I didn't upload another video until March of next year, and then I didn't upload another one until June. Not that this was the reason why I wasn't uploading videos, but at this point I was rather sick of using Windows Movie Maker 6.0 (because the output video quality was poop) and Windows Movie Maker 2012 (because it was basic as shite), so I looked around for a free but decent video editor, and I found Davinci Resolve. (not sponsored) I first used it on The Adventures of Nick & Lazer, and have been using and learning more about it ever since, for it has served me well.

As evidenced by stuff like my unfinished Bubsy 3D video, I have a hard time finishing and finalizing videos in a reasonable timeframe. This is mainly because 1. am lazy, 2. lacking motivation. Those are the 2 main reasons.

And that's pretty much it, for now...

Truly an patriotic video!
